1. Cutting.

We recommend using a ‘Chop-Saw’ fitted with a fine-toothed wood cutting blade for most accurate and clean cuts on our Replica Wood.

When joining two boards, cut on a slight angle to bring plank faces as close to each other as possible (as in diagram), this avoids highlighting any joints.

2. Screw Fixings.

All screw fixings should be concealed by our mock Tudor pegs – See fitting guidelines for further details.  to download.

We recommend using our ‘Drilling Template’ for uniformity. But as general guidance, screw points should be as follows:

(AS IN DIAGRAM)

2 Screws centered where planks join/meet.

2 Screws centered throughout (no more than 500mm apart)

All screw positions on adjacent planks should be level and symmetrical.

*Planks 125mm width and below require 1 screw centered.

3. Adhesive.

We recommend using 1/2 300ml tube of Adhesive (e.g. FixAll) per plank.

The Adhesive should be spread evenly across back of planks to cover largest surface area as possible. (As in Diagram).

4. Sealant.

On average, each plank requires 1/2 300ml tube of clear sealant (e.g. Clear Silicone).

Seal all plank edges to avoid moisture migration behind planks and give a smooth finish to plank edges.
